🇪🇺 EU Sovereign Node

ARIA EU Node —
GDPR-Compliant Sovereign AI

Operated from EU territory by an EU citizen under Greek jurisdiction, ensuring data never leaves the EU. Fully compliant with GDPR Article 44 for maximum data sovereignty.

✓ No data leaves EU ✓ EU citizen operated ✓ GDPR Art. 44

What is an ARIA Node Operator?

An ARIA Node Operator is a licensed entity authorised to operate an ARIA Capsule node within a specific regulatory jurisdiction, subject to the terms and technical specifications of Sovereign Governance Systems Ltd. The ARIA EU Node operated via bioinformatics.gr is fully sovereign: all data processing occurs within EU borders, under the direct oversight of an EU citizen, and in accordance with applicable EU law.

Dr Triantafyllos Paparountas — Greek citizen and bioinformatics/AI governance specialist — serves as the EU Node Operator. This arrangement ensures that data controller responsibilities, technical custody, and operational decision-making all reside within EU jurisdiction, with no reliance on third-country infrastructure for processing activities covered under GDPR Chapter V.

The EU Node does not transfer, replicate, or proxy personal data or regulated research data outside the EU/EEA without explicit data subject consent and a valid transfer mechanism as defined under GDPR Article 44.

🇮🇸

Greek Jurisdiction

Operated under Greek law (HDPA oversight), an EU member state, ensuring full GDPR applicability and institutional accountability.

🔓

EU Citizen Operated

The node operator holds Greek citizenship, satisfying CADA Level 3 requirements for EU data sovereignty certification.

📍

Data Stays in EU

All processing activities are confined to EU/EEA infrastructure. No data residency exceptions are made without documented legal basis.

EU Regulatory Framework

GDPR Art. 44

Cross-Border Transfer Prohibition

This node operates exclusively within EU/EEA territory, eliminating the need for Chapter V transfer mechanisms. All processing activities meet the adequacy standard by design, not by derogation.

EU AI Act

High-Risk AI System Readiness

The ARIA Capsule architecture is designed to satisfy EU AI Act obligations for high-risk AI systems, including conformity assessment, technical documentation, and post-market monitoring requirements applicable to AI systems in life sciences.

CADA Level 3

Maximum EU Data Sovereignty

CADA (Certified AI Data Architecture) Level 3 requires both EU legal entity ownership and EU citizenship for the responsible operator. This node meets both requirements: SGS Ltd is UK-registered with EU citizen ownership and operational control.

Powered by ARIA Capsule

The ARIA Capsule is a patented sovereign technology (UK GB2612045.1; US Application #19/693,491) that forms the backbone of this node's infrastructure. It provides a multi-tier security architecture combining cryptographic integrity, differential privacy, and hardware attestation — ensuring that AI workloads remain auditable, tamper-evident, and jurisdictionally confined.

This EU Node operates ARIA Capsule tiers T1 through T3 in a fully operational state, with the T4 AMD SEV-SNP hardware TEE tier planned for Q4 2026.
